Great video. What if I have a range from L3 to L26 has sum and the total amount should be on L28. IF L3 to L10 have an amount but L11 to L26 says “N/A” How do I get it to add up the numbers and ignore the N/A to get the total amount in L28. Thanks. Because right now L28 is not adding up the total amount if there are N/A the L cells.

@LoniHart Hi Loni. As long as there is only one instance of “ocean” in each cell, as in your example, the following should work for you. Include “*” before and after the word you are looking for like this: =COUNTIF(A2:A12,”*ocean*”).

Thanks for sharing on how to use count if in excel. I cannot get it to count the following properties with ocean view. If I put count if a2a12,Ocean it only yields one? and work around?
